The rolling hillsides of Southwest Virginia's working floral and honey farm, THE IVY ROSE BARN, were the perfect backdrop for this moody, yet feminine spring elopement editorial by ALAINA RONQUILLO. With planning and design by PLUME EVENTS, it features a stunning gown from KAREN WILLIS HOLMES with a dainty swiss dot fabric, a sophisticated corset bodice, and whimsical full sleeves. The florals were centered around large garden roses and lush vines which also adorned the two-tiered, raw-edge wedding cake by SUGAR EUPHORIA. The creative minds behind the shoot wanted it to not only be whimsical and feminine, but also artful and intentional. The paper pieces by wedding stationery designer PAPIER HANDMADE included a romantic suite filled with love and passion. As a tribute to her aunt who had recently passed away, Anika used one of her aunt's last paintings as inspiration and artwork to emphasise her amazing talent and love for life. The suite is the perfect heirloom piece that will allow her aunt's memory and work to live on forever. All in all it's the perfect spring elopement inspiration.
