Inspired by the expansive desert landscape of the American West Coast and the sophisticated futuristic silhouettes of Scandinavian designer MARIA FEKIH Singapore wedding photographer MARITHA MAE created this modern cinematic editorial with wardrobe stylist GRACE HELLER EVENTS. MARIA'S ultra-contemporary statement-making pieces are combined with dramatic veils set against a wide expanse of desert sand dunes overlooking the Pacific Ocean, evoking an otherworldly sense of what the future of modern high end exceptional alternative bridal fashion could look like.

Maria's inspiration behind each of the 4 pieces featured:

LEÏLA MIDI DRESS - A pencil skirt silhouette in textured silk-blend jacquard sourced from Lake Como in Italy, which perfectly unfolds Maria’s signature bow sleeves created to reveal one’s true self

TULLA 2-PIECE DRESS - A playful, oversized 2-piece dress was initially launched in Maria’s first collection Nordic Chic in 2016. Here, re-imagined with a sustainable approach in materials, high-quality craftsmanship, and separately wearable pieces for the wedding and beyond.

CECIL JUMPSUIT - Merging vintage style and the powerfulness of modern women has unfolded this statement wedding jumpsuit design appropriate for, e.g., rehearsal dinners.

SAFIYA GOWN - Inspired by the wedding dress of Wallis Simpson (1937). This sleek, long-sleeve gown with gathered details and cut-out back in luxurious double-face silk satin is a timeless yet ultra-contemporary piece.

DANICA VEIL (2nd veil) - A special bridal veil made from a fine silk tulle woven on 100-year-old bobbinet looms in France. Finished with an exceptional Chantilly, Leavers lace reminding us of the Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica tableware from the golden age of porcelain.
