This sweet foraging shoot by CARRIE COLEMAN has me wanting to take some time out and simply enjoy the great outdoors!! Carrie explains what she and stylist HOPE ZEITLER were aiming for with the shoot.
ééòThis spring, I saw the season in a whole new light and for weeks I had this vision of an incredibly simple shoot featuring a young, newly married woman. I loved this idea of a young wife stepping right outside of her home to forage for greenery for her table. It’s so easy to overcomplicate wedding planning and setting up house, so this shoot was an illustration of just how lovely minimalism can be. There are so many stunning properties in and around Charlottesville, VA and I knew immediately of a private home that would make the perfect backdrop. I wanted to feature a dress that had the essence of a wedding dress, but looked like ééòhomeééò and this sleeved dress from FREE PEOPLE could not have fit that any better. The slightly rustic ANTHROPOLOGIE plates set with their stunning gold flatware created a beautiful mix of texture and color, and the gorgeous plant-dyed table runner from SILK & WILLOW paired perfectly with the theme of creating a table, a home, and a marriage that is beautiful and natural.ééò
