A Refined Waterfront Wedding Rooted in Family and Tradition

Set against the waterfront beauty of the Pacific Northwest, this romantic summer celebration paired soft blush florals and heirloom-inspired details with meaningful Persian and Polish traditions, creating a wedding that felt elegant, personal and wonderfully joyful.

Against the beautiful waterfront setting of TACOMA COUNTRY & GOLF CLUB, Magnolia Rouge Vendor JANET LIN PHOTOGRAPHY documented Nicole and Patryk’s wedding with her signature refined and romantic approach. Planned by EVENTS BY GENEVIEVE, with abundant florals by EMERALD CITY FLOWERS, the celebration balanced elegant design with a wonderful sense of warmth and personality.

Soft blush, cream and ivory formed the foundation of the palette, carried through everything from the stationery and flowers to the linens and smaller tabletop details. Yet for all its beauty, this was never simply a wedding about aesthetics. Nicole and Patryk wanted their celebration to feel generous and immersive, with family traditions, live music and unexpected moments giving guests a genuine sense of who they are.

HEIRLOOM PAPER DETAILS

The stationery offered the first glimpse of what was to come. Designed by BLANCHE HEIRLOOM, the suite featured sculpted papers, delicate letterpress and beautifully tactile embossed and debossed details. In a restrained palette of blush and ivory, each piece had the feeling of something intended to be kept long after the wedding day.

Those paper details continued throughout the celebration, appearing in menus, the escort display and tabletop pieces. Rather than existing as individual decorative moments, they became a subtle thread connecting each part of the day.

A MORNING OF ANTICIPATION

Before the ceremony began, Nicole spent the morning surrounded by her closest friends and family in a light-filled suite overlooking the water. Floral arrangements brought the wedding palette into the getting-ready space, while quiet moments of adjusting her veil, admiring the details of her gown and sharing the anticipation of what lay ahead gave the morning an intimacy all its own.

Elsewhere, Patryk prepared with his closest friends, enjoying a relaxed few hours of stories and laughter before the celebrations began. These quieter portions of the day gave both Nicole and Patryk time with the people who had supported them throughout their lives before everyone gathered together for the ceremony.

THE CEREMONY

With panoramic views across the water, the ceremony felt romantic and airy despite the abundance of flowers surrounding the space. EMERALD CITY FLOWERS created lush arrangements in blush, cream and soft pink, allowing the blooms to feel organic against the natural Pacific Northwest landscape.

Nicole and Patryk exchanged vows beneath the summer sun, with the water stretching out behind them and their family and friends gathered close. The setting needed little embellishment, and the floral design worked beautifully with rather than against its surroundings.

LAYERS OF ROMANTIC DESIGN

One of the loveliest aspects of the wedding was the way each design element related to the next. The blush tones first introduced through the stationery reappeared in the flowers, linens and carefully considered details, creating a natural sense of continuity.

Instead of relying on one dramatic focal point, the design unfolded gradually through texture, movement and thoughtful layering. At the reception, long floral arrangements spilled from the tables towards the ground, almost as though the surrounding garden had begun to grow into the celebration itself. The result felt elevated without becoming overly formal, encouraging guests to settle in, connect and enjoy the evening.

Thoughtful references to Nicole’s Persian heritage and Patryk’s Polish roots brought another layer of meaning to the wedding, connecting their new chapter with the families and traditions that had shaped them.

HONOURING TWO HERITAGES

Nicole and Patryk also made space within the day to celebrate both of their cultural backgrounds. Thoughtful references to Nicole’s Persian heritage and Patryk’s Polish roots brought another layer of meaning to the wedding, connecting their new chapter with the families and traditions that had shaped them.

One particularly memorable moment was the Persian Sword Dance, a spirited tradition filled with symbolism and celebration. Surrounded by cheering family and friends, Nicole took part as the energy of the room shifted from elegant reception to joyful party.

Patryk’s Polish heritage appeared in equally personal and playful ways. Guests were serenaded with live Polka music during the reception, while Nicole’s family later surprised Patryk with a choreographed dance performed in matching Adidas tracksuits, a lighthearted tribute that had the room smiling.

AN EVENING FULL OF SURPRISES

The surprises continued during Nicole and Patryk’s first dance, when Patryk secretly arranged for cold sparkler cannons from INSAIYAN ENTERTAINMENT to ignite around them. It transformed an already meaningful moment into something wonderfully cinematic and brought an extra burst of energy to the evening.

These unexpected details captured what made the celebration so memorable. The wedding was undeniably beautiful, but beauty never came at the expense of personality. Every polished detail sat comfortably alongside moments of humour, family connection and genuine emotion.

Ultimately, Nicole and Patryk created more than a beautiful event. From heirloom-inspired paper and romantic floral installations to Persian and Polish traditions, every layer reflected something of their story. Through JANET LIN PHOTOGRAPHY’S timeless imagery, it becomes a celebration of thoughtful design, family heritage and the sheer joy of bringing the people you love together.
