We are smitten with the clean fresh feeling of this shoot by HEATHER PAYNE and Erin from FLORET that we featured in Issue 14 of MAGNOLIA ROUGE MAGAZINE. Captured at CHRISTIANSON’S NURSERY in Mount Vernon, Washington, it features the most stunning of floral arrangements by Erin. The simply wedding dress by BADGLEY MISCHKA is perfect for the modern bride with it’s clean lines, and fresh natural make-up is the perfect accompaniment. And as always I’m obsessed with the organic paper goods by the fabulous BROWN LINEN DESIGN.
Erin of Floret share the inspiration behind the shoot: “It’s no wonder that botanical gardens and conservatories are popular places to tie the knot. With lush landscapes, arching trees and gorgeous glass houses, these verdant venues provide a beautiful backdrop for any event. This design collaboration at Christiansons Nursery focuses on capturing the natural beauty of the bride, her florals and other carefully curated decor details. Wearing a sleek Badgley Mischka dress in refined white crepe with a pintucked open back, the bride clutches an artfully-arranged bridal bouquet of sustainably-grown flowers. Floret’s fragrant sweet peas, peonies, digitalis and other seasonal blooms also overflow from the footed Campo di Fiori compotes. Meanwhile, the muted mocha tones in the table linens create an unexpectedly elegant neutral base to the classic white and green coloUr palette. Interspersed between the florals and china are natural beeswax taper candles in varying heights to provide additional vertical interest to the table setting. Special touches abound, from the timeless calligraphy on the Brown Linen Design name cards to the vintage flower pinfrogs utilized as name card holders, a subtle nod to the floral-centric nature of the celebration. It was pure joy to collaborate with Heather Payne and our team.”
