? thou with dewy locks, who lookest down
Thro’ the clear windows of the morning, turn
Thine angel eyes upon our western isle,
Which in full choir hails thy approach, ? Spring!
– William Blake
These lines from William Blake inspired this editorial shoot by IGOR KOVCHEGIN. The earth is like a woman, a bride, maturing, dawning and being the reflection of new beginning. After winter’s tough temperament of scorn, spring is a season that offers a fresh new rising to do away with what has been learned. The blooming sensuality of this transition period is exposed, freed from ice and we discover a new round of life and experience nature with fresh, innocent eyes. The simplicity of the design by BARK & BERRY together with WOOD & BLOOM (who also created the florals) is mesmerising! The table design with its combination of gold, warm wood and white is a favourite look of ours – and those ultra thin tapers are the ultimate in cosy elegance. Now can someone please come and set this up in my house for a dinner party?
