We’re only a week or so away from the big reveal of our new siteééò trust me it’s been quite the overhaul building it from the ground up! The new site will see a bit of a change of focus for us ééò more reality with a healthy dose of inspiration is how I like to coin it! Less styled shoots, more genuine moments! Don’t get me wrong, I love a stunningly captured editorial but we just need to readjust the balance! And add more incredible celebrations like this one of Courtney & Justin’s by the amazingly talented JORDAN VOTH. Held outside at a private historical estate owned by family friends, it was important to this gorgeous couple to have their wedding in their home town of Riverside, California. Sticking to a black & white colour palette with some metallic and brass accents ensured the entire day looked beautifully classic and timeless, and I’m certain these stunning images will look just as current when looking back in years to come.

HOW DID YOU MEET? I danced with his sister so we met at our annual dance recital in Riverside, California. We were both in 6th grade (so 13) but attended different elementary schools.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL? It was his birthday weekend. He was coming to visit me (he lived in Oregon and I lived in Los Angeles). I was surprising him and taking him to Santa Barbara for the weekend to stay at the hotel that my brother worked at. He already knew I was taking him there – my mom told him. So he worked with my brother and family to plan over all my plans for the weekend to make it about me and the proposal. He proposed on the beach in front of the Bacara Resort and Spa.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: It was the second dress I tried on. I knew I wanted sleeves. I made the decision so quickly that after I went home I second guessed my decision. A few weekends later my mom and I went back to the shop to see the dress again. I needed to spend more time in it to be sure.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Just green and white. I wanted them a little wild but not overly crazy. Again, not a color in the bouquets just greenery and white.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: The tablescapes. It was glowing with candles and just so magical. Small votives everywhere, vases of greens and white flowers silver and gold vases, greenery running down the middle. And the tables were wood… so I didn’t have to use linens which made the look totally come together.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? If you have a vision… go for it. Cut costs where you can, but stick to what is important to you.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Our first dance and also me walking down the aisle.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY? We had my Uncle marry us which was special. He knew our love story inside and out. Justin liked me since 6th grade and it took me a while to come around to liking him. He is so loyal and luckily when I was ready, he still liked me and was willing to give us a try. The ceremony was very personal and unique.
