When both the bride and groom love the colour pink – possibly the groom even more than his bride it's been said – then a fun floral filled fun garden party celebration was in order. Enlisting the help of stylist extraordinaire KALEB NORMAN JAMES, the groom's parents family home was transformed into an enchanting floral wonderland. Captured by AMANDA RIGIERO it's a veritable feast for the eyes.
The bride tells us, "The inspiration for our wedding day was a beautiful garden party. Our venue was my fiancé's parents' home as it held so many special memories for us. We wanted our wedding to be intimate, fun and very "us". Their home is so beautiful and we wanted to highlight that. An intimate garden party with our closest friends and family. Our friends and family are such an important part of our lives as individuals and together, that celebrating our love and what we've become together in a special place was very important to us.
We just both knew we would be married at my fiancé's parents' home. With so many different parts of their home to hold the ceremony and reception, everyone was shocked at my suggestion of getting married in the driveway but I just loved the high brick walls, center fountain and staircase and the idea of the semi-circle chairs. At first, my in-laws were not on board at all… we had to take them to the driveway and really paint the picture for them. I loved the idea of having flow throughout our event, ceremony in the driveway, cocktail hour on the terrace and dinner in the grass.
We wanted it to be beautiful and a fun celebration. My husband's family owns a winery so we ordered extra wine corks with our last name to act as name tags! We had custom wine bottles made holding a special shop vintage to start off dinner which was a really special moment and extra delicious treat! We also hand stamped 200+ pizza boxes with a custom stamp/quote for our late-night snack packaging."
