Their connection deepened on a ski trip where Hunter spent the entire weekend helping Lauren learn to ski—and ended with a surprise “Prom?” written in the snow. RED AUGUST FARM in Waynesboro, Virginia, was the first—and only—venue the couple toured. Instantly smitten, they knew it was the perfect fit. The barn, built in 1876, offered the kind of rich history and warmth they envisioned, with original wood beams, soft lighting, and statement chandeliers. The property’s sweeping views, pink-blossomed trees in spring, and cozy weekend access sealed the deal, offering the couple a place to celebrate and relax with loved ones.

The morning of the wedding was surprisingly calm. Lauren spent the night before in the bridal suite with her best friend, enjoying a quiet start to her big day.
