Romantic & Intimate Lake Tahoe Elopement

I am a big fan of intimate elopements. There's something so incredibly romantic about escaping with your loved one to a spectacular location and committing to one another in private. And there's no denying it would appear to be a lot more stress free! Colorado wedding photographers ALP & ISLE captured this beautiful Lake Tahoe celebration of Kelly & Alec's and I couldn't love it more.

Emily from ALP & ISLE tells us, "This past January Kelly and Alec reached out to us about photographing their Lake Tahoe elopement in April. After talking with them, we fell in love with their relaxed and spontaneous style. In the midst of career changes and moving, the two knew they wanted to get married but couldn't do the full wedding plan so they started exploring eloping. Lake Tahoe is a special place to the couple and it was an meaningful choice to plan their elopement there. Elopements and intimate weddings are so refreshing and inspiring to us – needless to say we were excited to return for another Tahoe wedding! We shoot there often so we know the area well. They had their ceremony in the peaceful, sun spilled forest just south of Lake Tahoe. We did a first look there with a crew and engine from a local firehouse- a special surprise Alec set up for Kelly. The two then exchanged heartfelt vows with shaking hands in a forested boulder field. We took some very relaxed portraits there and then headed to the beach of South Lake Tahoe for their incredibly dreamy and romantic sunset portraits. April in the mountains is still quite chilly especially with the lake breeze. Kelly was so glad she had decided to use a vintage family heirloom fur as her something old. After we wrapped shooting, the two brushed the sand from their feet and headed off to an intimate family dinner in town. They are such a tender and charming couple and we were thrilled to be in one of our favourite places capturing such a significant day. Congratulations, newlyweds!"
