Beginning the day at PELICAN HILL, which was where they were supposed to get married originally, Amie & Jay were able to have a first look in the location they had always dreamed of and then move the rest of the wedding to the groom's parent's estate in Newport Coast, California. The gorgeous bride walked down the aisle to a chilling rendition of  “Boi Beshalom 2020” sang live by Eli of Eli’s Band. Alexa with PURE LAVISH EVENTS transformed the couple's swimming pool into an incredible reception space, with AMBER EVENT PRODUCTION building a platform over the swimming pool. The entire space was carpeted and railings added so they could enjoy ocean views all evening long. The reception was filled with thoughtful touches as well, such as cocktails named after their sweet dogs. Southern California wedding photographer AMY GOLDING captured their stunning celebration.

From the Planner, Alexa: "It’s safe to say most of our couples this year shared the same fair share of obstacles after what happened in 2020. This wedding was no exception. During the height of the pandemic, Amie & Jay were forced to postpone their wedding and cancel their wedding at their dream wedding venue. It was a hard pill to swallow, but when Amie came to me and asked if they would be able to have their wedding in Jay’s parent’s backyard, I said absolutely! This already gorgeous home was transformed in a matter of days, from a normal backyard, to a white wedding wonderland. With the talent of Town & Country and Square Root Designs we did a complete buildout over the entire backyard, as well as a full stage buildout, kitchen buildout, dance floor, carpeting, and added amazing rentals and florals to round it all out. It was spectacular! Anyone that was there can tell you what an incredible transformation it was. Despite some popular debate, any backyard wedding takes time and effort from all parties, and needless to say this wedding was quite the lavish production. We made Amie & Jay’s backyard wedding a reality and I loved seeing all the hard work and of course the look on Amie & Jay’s faces when they saw it for the first time."
