Intimate wedding in the forest overlooking Lake Tahoe

As lovers of both the forest and the water, Christina and Brian wanted an intimate and romantic setting for their day and they got just that with this beautiful spot overlooking Lake Tahoe. Captured and planned by Las Vegas wedding photographer LIANNA MARIE the couple had the exact location chosen for them since their weren't on hand to scout it for themselves. Their florist ZURI FLORAL DESIGN scoped out the perfect area according to their list of 'must haves' – on the water, amidst the trees with mountains in the background. Sounds idyllic right?

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Brian & I were BBQING in the backyard and he got down on a knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I actually bought my wedding dress before Brian proposed to me! In May we had talked about having our wedding around August/September. And I told him if he’s serious about this I have some shopping & planning to do because we don’t have a ton of time, I told him the ring can come later. So my mom and I went to Brilliant Bridal just to “look” and I fell IN LOVE with my dress and had to walk out with it.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: I left my floral design up to our photographer Lianna. I didn’t know anything about it until they were dropped off to me.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: We absolutely loved having our cake at the ceremony location.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Make everything about the two of you, If you want it, do it! Don’t worry about pleasing anyone else.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Besides marring each other, I’d say having my best friend be my photographer and wedding planner.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? The ceremony location was the most important part to us.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We have yet to go on a honeymoon due to COVID. But when we can travel again we want to go explore Europe for a few weeks.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE OR DO DIFFERENTLY? Not at all! Everything was so minimal, simple, and everything we wanted.
