In perfect harmony; inspired by classical music and spring blooms

Inspired by the concept of ‘harmony’ this spring editorial by Seattle wedding photographer AARON LIU PHOTOGRAPHY honours the pleasing simultaneous chords in music, represented by the violin and classical music, as well as the careful arrangements of various floral elements that complement each other: from the floral arrangements themselves, to the sugar flowers on the cake, to the intricate floral detailing on the dress. These elements were further enhanced through a harmonious partnership with watercolour painting, musical elements, and bridal shoes.

Working with planner SWEET AND SOUL DESIGN and florist  À LA CHLOE, they chose to install a floating branch with young buds, symbolising the arrival of spring and the new beginnings it brings. The warm-toned palette of yellow and orange florals against the white and gold tableware perfectly encapsulating the essence of the season. The warmth was extended through the wooden table, evoking a sense of being in a cozy, rustic-yet-elegant atmosphere in nature. 

The bridal look emphasised an elegant and artistic aesthetic. For the gown, we opted for the Yang by LIZ MARTINEZ – a very romantic, soft, flowing style, with embroidered floral lace detailing at the waist, which beautifully complements the spring floral details throughout the rest of the decor. The gown uses multiple layers of tulle, creating a subtle sheerness to elevate the sense of natural and organic elegance. In addition to the bouquet, we also chose to use a violin and mirror to reflect the artistic theme. 

Spring weather is unpredictable and ever-changing. Mother Nature made her presence known on the day of the shoot with a rainy Seattle day, but the sound of raindrops echoed through the studio, like a melody written by Mother Nature. This set of photos represent not only the anticipation of spring but also the bride’s anticipation for the future and her wedding.
