Celeste and Logan are high school sweethearts who were introduced by mutual friends – at a stoplight! Some years later, on a romantic getaway to Rhode Island, Logan got down on one knee and proposed. Celeste was overjoyed, and soon gave him the green light to forever. Having grown up in Michigan and subsequently moved to both New York City and Chicago together, this city-dwelling pair were keen for their big day to combine urban sophistication with their Midwestern roots. Big Sky, Montana, was the perfect solution. “We loved the idea of having a black tie wedding in the mountains!” Celeste says. From their mountaintop helipad ceremony beneath a blossoming floral arch to their stylish reception, the wedding was as fun as it was beautiful. The bride’s only regret? “The night goes by so quickly; I would have spent even more time dancing!ORANGE PHOTOGRAPHIE were on hand to capture their beautiful celebration.

Logan’s parents have had a home in Big Sky, Montana for many years. We would travel there 2–3 times a year to vacation, and fell in love with everything about Big Sky, but especially the landscape and the mountains. As soon as we were engaged we knew we wanted our wedding to be there. We couldn’t think of a more romantic and exciting place to say our vows.

Our flowers were light and romantic: white with pops of light pink and a lot of greenery. We did not want them to overpower the natural elements in our wedding. They blended in perfectly with the mountains and trees.

For my dress, I knew I wanted something timeless and bold, but wanted to avoid glitter and a lot of embroidery. My mom came to visit me one weekend in Chicago and at our second stop, the stylist recommended I try on a Carolina Herrera dress. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one!
