Set along the coast of the Ashley River in Charleston, LOWNDES GROVE was built around 1786 and now serves as a gorgeous wedding venue. Oak trees line the driveway, and a long pier stretches out into the river. For this wedding editorial by Charleston wedding photographer FAITH ROPER, the bride wore a white gown from CLAIR DE LUNE which was embellished with petals and carried a bouquet of white and cream florals by FLORA WEDDING AND EVENT FLOWERS. The handsome groom wore a navy and black tuxedo from OMJ CLOTHING. Designed and styled by SOHO EVENT DESIGN the ceremony was set on the front lawn with an amazing triple floral arch looking out at the river. Afterwards, the reception was held under the venue’s clear tent, with a long rectangular table stretching towards the pier. The colour scheme of creams and blues fit the coastal vibe of the day. Couples portraits around the venue ended with a classic getaway car adorned with florals.

A big thank you to Charleston wedding photographer FAITH ROPER for sharing this beautiful inspiration with us. Faith approaches your wedding day with thoughtfulness, intention, and care. "I always strive to be a calm presence on your day. Of course, I want you to love your wedding photos, but also to have a great experience with me. Looking around at all the friends and family celebrating, I always feel so honoured to be there documenting your wedding. I am inspired by luminous skin tones, painterly backgrounds, and emotive storytelling. I want to create photos that make you feel beautiful and that help you remember how you felt on your wedding day." Head over to her portfolio to see more of her work.
