We're coming at you today with what may be one of our very favourite weddings of the year! Brandtley and Harrison's summer wedding captured by South Carolina wedding photographer SOULSHINE PHOTOGRAPHY was brought to life at a beautiful property in the Southeast. The lake side venue was transformed into a garden oasis for their guests to enjoy custom cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Wanting to evoke the feeling of being in a relaxed garden setting, the couple chose to use a multitude of colours. A variety of greens, including celadon green and basil, were the grounding colours. Primrose pink and peach were seen throughout the wedding design with light blue, coral, yellow, hints of lavender, and cream also incorporated throughout.

The gorgeous bride tells us, "During the wedding planning process, I quickly noticed that I was most drawn to a relaxed garden party style. I loved the idea of incorporating sentimental items like silver and vases that are heirlooms in our family. When I look back at our wedding photos, I immediately notice those special pieces and feel more connected to our wedding day. I found that incorporating plants along with the traditional cut flowers gave the event a more authentic, vintage feel that is true to us. The statement floral table as you entered our reception was my favourite way to achieve the garden party look I was aiming for."

The Groom proposed on the same property one late August afternoon. He created a candlelit tablescape with Brandtley's favourite bottle of champagne and charcuterie in an area on the property where the couple had previously watched sunsets. Their closest family later joined the couple in celebration.

The Bride wore a JUSTIN ALEXANDER gown from HOUSE OF THE BRIDE in Augusta, with a simple, modern silhouette. Two of the bridesmaids wore a printed floral fabric by SACHIN & BABI and the other two bridesmaids wore solid colour dresses by AZAZIE. The groomsmen wore classic tuxedos giving a timeless feel.

The Bride and Groom prioritised heavy hors d'oeuvres on their wedding day, and Cal Berry from Berry's Catering was excellent at capturing their vision. They offered seared tuna, tomato pie tarts, chicken and waffles, and pickled watermelon skewers during cocktail hour. For dinner, they had the classic Green Jacket salad and a pasta station where the chef customized pastas to the guests' preferences. For dessert, the Bride and Groom had homemade pralines made on-site by Epting Catering.

The Bride and the Groom's mother designed all the florals for the wedding day. Event rentals were from Ranco Event Rentals, and they used many special family pieces to make the day personalised to the couple.

The bride and groom chose to have a three-piece string band for their ceremony music. This created a soft, garden oasis feel for the guests as they entered the ceremony. They also had a pecan praline maker on-site during the cocktail hour and reception. The guests could watch them before indulging in delicious warm treats.

South Carolina wedding photographer SOULSHINE PHOTOGRAPHY is a valued member of our vendor collective. Working alongside her husband James, she is a hybrid photographer, mother, wife, daughter and friend based out of the Carolina's. "Photographing and filming weddings has become a passion for me as I am truly blessed to serve so many couples and families. Art in any form has deeply moved my soul, but I was unsure of what medium to express my personal art through.

My couples feel at ease in front of my camera and truly get to enjoy their wedding day. Our style is soft, true to colour, emotive imagery. We desire to go above the status quo in each of our relationships with our couples, and therefore we take a limited number of weddings in order to serve well." You can see more of their portfolio here.
