It's been fascinating seeing how couples have had to adjust to the changes in their weddings over the past year. The pivot from large gatherings to smaller intimate events was quick and swift. In the beginning, with no real insight or guidance from cities and counties, events became micro and the wedding meals, which are usually a whole experience in itself, started being packaged to-go. As more and more micro-events were occurring with take-home meals, Southern California wedding photographer LUCY MUNOZ thought about a Japanese furoshiki bento. "Japanese bentos are always so well thought out, each element taken care of with preciseness and always serving a purpose. We wanted to bring that creativity and the attention to details that larger scale events get, to these mini-monies, as they are just as special and ever so important this year.

Los Angeles wedding planner MILK EVENTS tells us, "The idea behind this editorial was for the everyday bride, one who might be stuck at home excited to get married but limited in resources. We used potted plants that can be found in any house-hold and lemons from the trees in our backyard. When PLAIN JANE POSEY hopped on board, she came in and tied everything together. The stunning arrangement accompanied our table scape perfectly. SAKE DOJO LA finished everything off with the most beautiful and amazing bentos. Start with a charcuterie favour box at each seat and then grab your custom bento, full of colour and adorned with edible flowers. Everything captured with elegance by Lucy Munoz Photography. It goes to show, a little bit of creativity can go a long way.
