Captured by Washington DC wedding photographer RUDNEY NOVAES this enchanting editorial takes place in an old barn filled with gorgeous French antiques. Florist & stylist Joanna from HAZEL DUST STUDIO discovered a beautiful location in rural Pennsylvania on one of her antiquing sourcing trips and was intrigued and inspired by this charming space.

With its endless collection of armoires, Bergere chairs, giltwood mirrors, and countless chandeliers, this barn painted the perfect backdrop for this editorial. With a deep respect for the authenticity and imperfections of all these unique antiques, Joanna opted for incorporating lots of textural elements and large, luscious blooms. The bouquet and the centerpiece consisted of an abundance of full and very fragrant flowers without any greenery. She also added a bit of whimsy by designing a floral installation framing the arched window. The table was set in a very unconventional way with deep teal velvet table cloth, vintage plates and glasses, and mismatched cutlery. It played beautifully off the surroundings with dark tones and rich finishes of the furniture.
Hand-written stationery was designed by Molly at THE VINTAGE INKWELL. The gold ink and hand-made paper with deckled edges added a touch of old-world charm. Edilaine at REFLECTION HAIR DESIGN created a very romantic hairstyle and delicate and relaxed makeup that enhanced the natural beauty of the bride. The dresses by JULIE VINO and SOLO MERAV from NICOLE BRIDAL were the perfect pairing against the rich and moody interior of the barn.

For Washington DC wedding photographer RUDNEY NOVAES, wedding photography has transformed the way he sees people and how he tells their stories.
