You guysééò internet issues drive me round the bend!! I lost broadband connection nearly 48 hours ago and I’m still looking at about another 24 before it’s up and running again! All because the powers that be decided to switch my area over to another network. SO frustrating! Here’s hoping the new network means faster more consistent service (country living problems!!). If you’re one of the many waiting for an email from me or an answer to a submission I appreciate your patience!! It has however freed up my time to work on the next issue of the magazine and wholly goodness people, it’s a beauty!!
In the meantime I have a lovely real wedding from way down south today by NICOLE GOURLEY PHOTOGRAPHY who had this to say about this woodlands wedding, ééòI was looking forward to Megan and Thomas’ wedding from the moment they told me they had chosen a whimsical woodland theme. The venue they chose is in rural Southland, about 20 minutes from Invercargill, and it is just gorgeous. I had said a few prayers that the aisle of blossom trees would be blooming and right on cue they did just that. Look how stunning they are. They chose to use wood, antlers, birds nests, bottles, and flowers as centrepieces. The floral work was vintage, raw, and perfect. The cake was made from three wheels of cheese, accented with figs and mint, and was served before dinner. As well as being a visually stunning wedding, these two absolutely adore each other. The respect and admiration they share left me feeling very overwhelmed at the end of the day. Absolute perfection.ééò
From Megan the bride, ééòOnly once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile.ééò
Thomas and I met in a camping ground when were kids and our families became good friends. After finishing school it wasn’t until a chance meeting at a coffee shop that we rekindled and our childhood friendship became a romance. We fell in love. I love Thomas because he is quick witted, Ryan Gosling good looking, extremely hard working, and loyal. He knows me better than anyone and still loves me.
Thomas proposed to me after 6 years together on a hill that overlooked Dunedin, in Southern New Zealand, on a cold winter night. All we wanted was a fun filled day together with our friends and family. I fell in love with weddings that had an earthy feel, unstructured bouquets and metallic tones.ééò
