Dima & Yulia had a beautiful intimate wedding in remote Crimea – a peninsula on the northern coast of the Black Sea in Eastern Europe. The stunning location inspired the style of the wedding – with so much beautiful nature surrounding the area it’s no surprise. They came across WHITE CASTLE, a beautiful country venue and with it’s beautiful architecture, surrounding forest and great views of the iconic cliffs it offered them everything they could want and more. ALEXANDER & MARINA SANTI captured these beautiful images of their day
They tell us, “The morning of the wedding was filled with a calmness. With our groom playing pool and drinking coffee. The bride was melancholy, looking out of the window as the ceremony is being prepared. She gets ready with her mother and aunt, and then together with her father, they give her strength to move into this new and exciting chapter of her life. The touching moment when the groom first sees his bride is magical. She looks so elegant, classy and beautiful!“
HOW DID YOU MEET? We met a long time ago, when we were teenagers. Our friend Introduced us and we just couldn’t stop talking for a long time.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Offer Dima did when I came the first leave from the army in NY, we went to the estate on horseback, with us were my parents and friends. After the walk we went to the car and from the car he pulled out a big box with balloons tied to them we released, and the box was made like a doll, she was a lot of boxes one within another, and the last at the bottom lay the box with the ring. Well, then as always the question will you be my wife?
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I chose a long dress, because I thought I want something easy and simple, without pomp, but elegant.
FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: First of all, we wanted to emphasise the luxury of the place and the fantastic beauty and therefore decided that the design will be minimalistic. In addition, modern wedding trends, and well suited to the overall concept of the wedding. With the help of greenery, we try to bring simplicity and freshness in the design space. White ranunculus, carnations and roses add a sense of lightness and dreaminess. This combination allowed us to highlight the exquisite gold colour in other parts of the wedding decor.
We paid more attention to shapes, textures and details. At the same time, we tried to convey a sense of elegant simplicity. That’s why I selected a neutral colour palette. As for the ceremony decoration: The transparency of the water, romantic candles and romantic couple in the centre of the Golden circle – all this symbolically indicates the importance and value of such a day, like a wedding. And the simplicity and minimalism in the decoration only emphasised the beauty of the surrounding nature and the beautiful fairy-tale castle, where the celebration took place.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? The most memorable moment for me is probably the toast from my niece. She prepared a poem and it took her three attempts because she couldn’t hold back the tears. It was very touching and from the heart.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Select the style that best suits you, that reflects you. Don’t give up on your dreams because of standards, don’t be afraid to try new things.
