Our favourite engagement shoots are the ones that are captured in beautiful landscapes and Calgary wedding photographer MILTON PHOTOGRAPHY is making us happy today with these beautiful images at the utterly stunning spot of Lake Louise in Banff.
Karen and Andy first met in the Student Affairs Office at their medical school in upstate New York during the summer of 2010. They were waiting on line at the front desk when they caught each other’s eyes and introduced themselves. The two did not actually see each other again until several weeks later when they coincidentally met up with mutual friends at a bar. They took a stroll that night downtown along the banks of the Hudson River where Andy asked for Karen’s number. Little did they know that they would owe their medical school not only for considerable student loans, but also for helping them meet their future husband/wife!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: The day after Christmas, our families planned a day of sightseeing in NYC. We decided to go ice skating at Central Park, which is one of our favourite pastimes together as Andy has been teaching me how to skate. After skating for a while, he coaxed me to the center of the ice by suggesting a backwards skating lesson. Following a few hand-in-hand strides, he revealed the ring, said he loved me more than I knew and asked to spend the rest of our lives together. I said yes (of course!) as my family members and hundreds of surrounding skaters rang out with cheers and applause.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS LOCATION? We have always enjoyed going on hikes together, even early on in our relationship. As a couple, we are striving to hike at as many national parks together as possible. Banff National Park was always at the top of our bucket list so we figured why not have our engagement photos taken whilst doing something that we love! Plus, we could not go wrong in Canada since we're are avid hockey fans.
A huge thank you to Calgary wedding photographer MILTON PHOTOGRAPHY for sharing this beautiful wedding with us. Justine is a valued member of the Magnolia Rouge Vendor Guide. Her style is a mix of fine art and photojournalism. "I capture naturally beautiful moments as they happen. I don’t force things, and the results are photographs as unique and beautiful as you are. It is an incredibly humbling job, to be trusted to document couples life long memories, and that is what we focus on most; timeless imagery that will evoke all of the emotions you and your family felt on the day."
