Molly & Mitch’s Four Seasons Austin, Texas hotel wedding was nothing short of magical. From Molly’s complete bridal look with her embellished MIRA ZWILLINGER gown and high pony with blue dangle earrings, to the East lawn ceremony under a chuppah only dreams are made of, to the refreshing colour palette throughout with the garden florals reminiscent of a Bridgerton nuptial – it was all perfection! Austin wedding photographer KRISTIN LA VOIE was on hand to capture this colourful celebration.

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR WEDDING STYLE? I wanted lots of colours at my wedding that would “pop” with beauty. A lot of times brides are afraid to use colour but I loved all the colours used at my wedding. There were hints of blue in the flowers which went along with my bridesmaids dresses, light blue table clothes, and light blue wedding cake.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS LOCATION? Mitch and I have always loved Austin. The city has been a big part of our relationship. We loved the outdoor lawn for the ceremony with Lady Bird Lake as the back drop.

HOW DID YOU MEET? We met at Kirby Ice House and already had a lot of mutual friends. My twin sister had actually met Mitch the previous weekend. My brother-in-law also knew Mitch as he was his pledge trainer at the SAE house in Austin.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Mitch and I dated for three years and he proposed Thanksgiving weekend in Austin with both of our families there. Thanksgiving was also around the time of our anniversary. We were on a run together at Common Fords park in Austin when he popped the question. I was shocked to say the least.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: Mitch’s aunt worked for Joan Pillow before it closed last year. It was special having a future family member help me find my dress. My sisters were both there as well and we fell in love with the designer Mira Zwillinger. I loved the details and the cut of the dress. It was perfect for me!

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: My flowers were absolute stunning. Bouquets of Austin did an incredible job and getting the exact flowers that I wanted. We had blues, light purple, pinks, and whites.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: My brother-in-law officiated the wedding and we had 28 bridesmaids and groomsman. My 95-year-old grandma from Michigan was able to attend and so was Mitch’s 80-year-old grandma from Houston. We were so lucky to have such amazing family and friends be a part of our big day.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Enjoy it! It goes by quick and by the time you know it the wedding will be over.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Our first dance song to start the night was higher love by Kygo & Whitney Houston. Our band, Blind Date, completely killed it. It really got the party started early.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? Having our family and bes
t friends there was the most important part. We also wanted an incredible band to get the party going and good alcohol with plenty accessible bars (our favourite alcohol is Casamigas). Our biggest thing was to make sure all our guests enjoyed the night and had fun!

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY? Mitch and I had a private intimate dance at the end of the night just us two before our pedi cab send off with sparklers. The band played Carrying your love with me by George Strait. It was a terrific way to end the night!

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We went to Mayakoba and Tulum for our honeymoon. My husband planned the entire trip so each day and night was a surprise. It was super romantic and intimate.
