Wedding photography came to me. My grandmother gifted me a camera at fifteen years old. Two years later, a church friend asked me to shoot her wedding. I was so young. I had no idea what I was doing, but I just kept doing it. This is a thread in my life. I figure it out as I go. I make short term goals, while keeping the flexibility I need to change and grow.

I don’t just take pictures, I craft experiences. My photography, a blend of film and digital, captures true-to-life, candid moments with cool tones and interesting design, creating an easy and breezy experience. The real art of what I do is comforting other humans in the most special time they may ever experience. I button dresses, I make a room of bridesmaids feel at ease, and I help people know what to do with their hands. I help people laugh when they are nervous. I network and build with other vendors to make something bigger than our individual selves. I visualize and actualize my team’s wildest dreams, one at a time.

I run a wedding day with a mixed approach. We have structure & timelines, but we keep things open at the same time. There any many moments that happen that cannot be mechanically created, and there needs to be enough time for those to unfold. It is a balance of structure and reality. Our team keeps an upbeat and fun vibe all day, no matter the wrenches thrown at us.

I photographed my grandparents 50th annivesary vow renewal several years ago. It was memorable because I planned the event, and it was truly incredible to see my grandparents recommit. It ended up being my first wedding picked up by a big publication, which was really amazing to me.

My dream destination wedding to photograph wouldn’t require a passport; it would be right here in my city Shreveport, Louisiana. I envision collaborating with a truly exceptional, style-forward couple to transform a unique location—perhaps a historic private residence or an unconventional venue—into an unforgettable celebration. We’d craft an event that showcases the very best of our city, working hand-in-hand with my trusted, top-tier local vendor team.

Why Shreveport? Because it’s about more than just capturing beautiful events; it’s about investing in and elevating our community. I love to showcase Shreveport’s unique charm and the artistry of our florists, caterers, musicians, and designers. We’d be creating a blueprint for other couples, demonstrating the magic that can be found right here, fostering local business growth and bolstering our city’s reputation as a vibrant, creative hub.

Beyond weddings, I explore inspirations through personal content creation, gardening, and family life. My engagement with gardening serves as a creative outlet and fosters a deeper appreciation for light, hard work and organic compositions, influencing my artistic approach. Homeschooling my children cultivates a true love of learning and discovery. Additionally, I love to create personal content focused most recently on bar muscle ups in crossfit, a discipline that has cemented my determination.

Think of the session as a date, a time to reconnect, laugh, and be present with one another. The more you focus on your partner, the more genuine and natural your interactions will be. Those real, in-between moments—the soft glances, the gentle touches, the spontaneous laughter—are what make the most beautiful and authentic photographs. Let your love story unfold naturally, and I’ll be there to capture it.

When I step away from the camera, my life is a vibrant mix of hands-on creativity and dedicated pursuits. You’ll often find me in the gym, channeling my energy into the strength and technique of gymnastics. I cultivate a flourishing garden, where I grow an array of watermelon, tomatoes, peppers, corn, and zinnias, finding both peace and inspiration in the process. The fruits of my labor extend beyond the garden, as I enjoy the satisfying process of canning, preserving the flavors of the season with my husband. Homeschooling my children is a deeply rewarding part of my life, allowing me to share my love of learning and discovery. Beyond these hobbies, I’m deeply invested in the art of business, constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency, strategically outsource, and ultimately work smarter, not harder. This passion extends to training my teams, fostering a happier and more productive work environment. I dedicate time to tending to my home, cultivating self-discipline, and exploring the intersection of food and gym work ethic, always striving to find balance and growth in both physical and personal realms.

I am married to my Canon Mark III’s. I also shoot with a Contax 645 and my lovely little Holga. Deeply in love and obsessed with each of these cameras and their special strengths.
