Marie Antoinette Inspiration

Happy Saturday people! I’m still playing a major game of catch up after being away and since this weekend’s going to mostly be a rainy one I’ll be at my desk for a lot of it I think! Lucky I like what I do right? And the thought of feeling more under control is motivation…

Happy Saturday people! I’m still playing a major game of catch up after being away and since this weekend’s going to mostly be a rainy one I’ll be at my desk for a lot of it I think! Lucky I like what I do right? And the thought of feeling more under control is motivation enough!! This morning I have a Marie Antoinette inspired shoot for you by POIEMA PHOTOGRAPHY with the prettiest of styling and florals by JENN SANCHEZ. If only my weekend were going to look this lovely! Sigh!

I will hand you over to Jenn who styled the shoot to take you through it, ééòOriginally, I was inspired by multiple artistic movements and styles, mainly drawing from Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. I’ve always loved her ornate over the top feminine style coupled with subtle modern design. I wanted to move away from the “rustic/shabby-chicééò motif and inspire brides who care for the old world look, showing them you can achieve that without having to compromise on taste. We did this with two Claire Pettibone dresses, both chosen for their attention to detail and romantic feel. Bracelets by Zeffiria and earrings by Samantha Wills with time piece rentals from My Lovely Events, all which beautifully brought this vision to life! I chose the McCormick Home Ranch for the venue, a 100 year old beautiful home surrounded by gardens which contributed an organic and lush vibe.ééò
