Being Wedding Photographers themselves LAURA & TOMMY had certainly seen their fair share of weddings over the years which had given them enough pointers about exactly what they did and didn’t want for their own special day. Holding it in their own back yard made it all the more personal and having the fabulous BAYLY & MOORE on hand to capture it all ensured they had the perfect Italian celebration!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: I asked Tommy to become my husband on 15th August in Biarritz, France during our vacation, under fireworks with a box full of Macarons

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I had seen a really beautiful wedding dress, with a simple style on an American website but when it arrived it didn’t like it on myself. The day I returned the dress in NY, my bridesmaid told me she had seen a perfect dress for me in a local dress-shop. I tried it on and knew it was mine. I didn’t want a classic wedding dress, I felt more myself with a simple dress.

ANY DIY/BUDGET ELEMENTS? We had our wedding at home so it was easy for us to organise all by ourselves. We wanted to keep the rustic style also for the wedding. There are a lot of DIY things. First of all our party favours were made by Tommy’s mother. They are “crazy cats” because we love cats, in particular our cat Paulie. The chef was a friend of ours so he and his wife understood exactly what we wanted for the dinner. My Mother, grandmother and mother-in-law made the cakes. I printed by some creative designs for the for the sugared almonds and little cakes boxes and bags. We also prepared a cigar table with chocolate for after dinner. Our best choice has been for the photographers Bayly & Moore, they were the best for us and we knew we wanted them for our wedding.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: We chose Carolina from Oui Fleurs for our wedding. She’s the best in town for wedding flowers and decoration. She’s a talented girl with a lot of ideas and understood what I wanted. First of all English roses, Lavender and claspedia. Then she also suggested astilbe, scabiosa, sage and rosemary

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: My favourite detail has been my hairstyle. I loved it and I think it was perfect for that dress. I love the flower in my hair too. So adorable.

WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Try to be yourself during the choices and all that represents your wedding. You will be so grateful and you will not have regrets.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? In the afternoon before the ceremony, during the preparation, while our friends helped us to arrange everything in a very relaxing atmosphere.
