KATHRYN HOPKINS PHOTOGRAPHY takes us on a journey to the coast of East Mersea Island in the south-east of England. Collaborating with REBECCA AVERY FLOWERS they’ve created an organic and natural beach bridal look with some incredible textured florals. Kathryn says, “I feel very passionate about designing around a location, whether that is a styled shoot or a wedding. It’s inspired by the bleakness, textures and tones of the location. The colour palette of black, sand, sage green and slate blue derived from the seaweed, muscle shells, and the overall location. Natural textures with hand torn edges mimic the raw, untouched, location and the abstract patterns imprinted by the seaweed on the sand gave rise to the idea of the modern lace bodice. The howling wind that never ceases there gave movement to the shoot and a rather windswept look.”
