The very lovely KATIE GRANT ééò a new recruit to the Western Australia film photography world (San Diego’s loss is Perth’s gain!) ééò not only photographed this beautiful seaside inspiration, but also styled it, made the cake, did the calligraphy AND the florals! I mean reallyééò is it fair that so much talent resides in one person? Well it’s lucky for us that is does as we get to feast our eyes on it all.

ééòThis styled shoot features a romantic, seaside, ‘table for two’ that is perfect for the eloping couple or to transform into a larger scale wedding. Crashing waves slammed into nearby rocks creating both a beautiful show and an intense soundtrack for the evening. We went for a soft tulle wedding gown that subtly caught the sea breeze and perfectly contrasted the harsh, rocky shores of La Jolla. Foraged clam shells hold rolled menus tied delicately in Frou Frou Chic ribbon and muted flowers were carefully chosen from the local Little Italy Farmer’s market. Hand calligraphed quotes by E.E. Cummings, “It’s always ourselves we find in the sea” and Kahlil Gibran, “In one drop of water are found all the secrets of the ocean” set the stage for this romantic and intimate affair. Ornate silver and an antique, 1920s, aquamarine ring polish off the look.ééò
