I’m excited to be featuring the final two of our wedding shoots from the FORAGE & FERN workshop back in October. In the interest of full disclosure, neither of these two bridal shoots were planned in advance. We had a spare gown we wanted to use and asked everyone if they wanted to get up bright and early to fit in an additional shoot in the morning – and what do you know… they did!! It was a stunning frosty morning and we were treated with an amazing scene of fog rolling down over the trees into the long grass meadow and the sun appearing just in time to light up the beautiful grounds of BODEGA RIDGE. The absolute showpiece of both these two shoots are the ‘out of this world’ amazing floral creations by genius florist Katie of PONDEROSA & THYME. They are such works of art and forever immortalised in these stunning images by BRUMLEY & WELLS. MAJA our model was just magical to work with despite the frigid temperatures and early hour of the day – at least in the first one! And the wonderful JESS WILCOX enhanced her natural beauty. For the second shoot on the evening the workshop finished, Katie created an installation featuring foraged autumn leaves against one of the cabins, and we took a little step back in time as we channeled an early 19th century peasant girl look. These shoots weren’t so much about creating and capturing a story, but more about teaching the attendees how to shoot in different lights and educating them about posing situations. Considering there was no planning involved, both shoots turned out super pretty… but then with the talents involved that’s no surprise!
