With beautiful details like custom calligraphed paper goods on handmade parchment by CORSIVO CALLIGRAPHY, elegant rings from TRUMPET & HORN and hand-dyed linens and ribbon from SILK & WILLOW, this southern inspiration from New Orleans wedding photographer LANCE NICOLL couldn’t be any more stylish if it tried!. Styled by Kristine from SIMPLY CHARMING SOCIALS it takes place at the incredibly picturesque location of THE SWAN HOUSE in Atlanta, and Magnolia Rouge vendor LANCE has captured not only the bridal subjects at hand, but beautiful details of the surrounding grounds. Designed around a neutral palette of dove, dust, brulee, rose and moss there is a strong focus on texture, and they’ve bought out the beauty in every detail.
The creative team tell us, “As with many areas of the world, the Southern region of the United States has its own history, ways, and traditions, especially when it comes to weddings and celebrations. Our collective of vendors collaborated to celebrate all that we adore about Southern weddings: strong wedding vows, grand architecture, delicate feminine details, an air of fanciness, and the rich farm-to-table cuisine. However, we approached this editorial with with a modern approach. The New South if you will.
The floral artistry of LINDSAY COLETTA gave way to a gorgeous branch archway for the vows to be held, a stunning centerpiece filled with lush fresh blooms and dried flora, and a breathtaking grand bouquet. Wardrobe styling and wedding day attire provided by of THE SENTIMENTALIST and THE MODERN GENT presented a new take on the classics, with a soft flowy one-shoulder gown on the bride and a crisp clean tuxedo on the groom. The bride’s look was completed with sweeping hair and fresh-faced makeup by stylist JENNIFER C. NIEMAN. The centerpiece on the tablescape was set in an asymmetrical manner, with an arrangement to one side and beeswax taper candles on the other, leaving plenty of room for a family style meal. Local caterer and restaurant Sun in my Belly presented an exciting take on the ‘relish platter’ for guests to indulge before the meal. The dinner menu included: Georgia Coast shrimp & grits, herb-stuffed pork loin, and salad of rocket greens with smoked trout.“
