Planned and designed by CORA JANE PHOTOGRAPHY and ONE FOR THE BOOKS EVENTS, this editorial celebrates the region’s beloved maritime heritage through a fresh, elevated lens. With a dedicated collaboration of local vendors, this team deliberately prioritized a hospitable approach to a coastal celebration that honors the cherished stories of Mystic. Inspired by the graceful curvature of wooden sailboats and nature’s abundant oceanic textures, the design leaned into an organic palette of moody plum, creamy whites, soft sand, and botanical greens. Each floral element designed by HANA FLORAL, from the ceremony installations to the hand-tied bouquet, featured movement mirroring the beauty of the seaside while keeping the aesthetic romantic and soft.

Thoughtful Stationery Inspired by the Sea
Showcasing the integral role paper goods play in the narrative of a celebration, TULALOO crafted intricate stationery featuring debossed florals with a copper foil text and included woodgrain elements and soft pink tones with lace netting adorning the custom menus positioned at each reception seat. Each design choice deliberately chosen to subtly recognize Mystic’s fishing town history with a flair of romance. Adding to the guest experience for this wedding weekend was a destination-inspired welcome gift curated by LAVENDER & PINE that greeted guests with warmth and intention—setting the tone for a celebration grounded in meaningful hospitality. Incorporating calligraphy by NOB HILL JANE into both the paper goods with a custom bespoke envelope with vintage postage and custom engraved leather luggage tags added a touch of elegance sure to leave a lasting impression.

Elegant Fashion with Textural Depth
Fashion followed suit in both texture and tone. The bride wore a romantic KELLY FAETANINI gown, sourced from bridal boutique THE WHITE DRESS, paired with heirloom-inspired shoes by KENDALL LOUISE. Her bridesmaid wore a flowing gown from JENNY YOO, while the groom wore a classic formal look from ZAHNER’S CLOTHIERS, elevated by rich velvet details that echoed the design’s layered elegance. The ceremony overlooking the water was accompanied by music by ARIANA STRINGS to contribute to the natural environment.
An Interactive Seating Chart with Nautical Charm
The seating chart offered an interactive and personal guest experience, featuring a nautical map of Mystic, encouraging guests to “navigate” to their tables and to embark on a voyage of their own with maritime tools. Designed by TULALOO, constructed by CA WOODCRAFT, and perfected with calligraphy by NOB HILL JANE, this interactive element paid tribute to the town’s nautical roots in a refined and unexpected way.
Refined Reception Details with Coastal Flair
A curated lounge by RYAN DESIGNS offered guests an outdoor space to sip cocktails, take in the view, and create new memories on Connecticut’s coastline. And upon entering the indoor reception space guests were greeted with a light wood-toned and white checkered dance floor provided by PEAK EVENT SERVICES along with a romantic table scape and cascading florals and opulent linens.

The ONE FOR THE BOOKS EVENTS team organized a seamless and efficient timeline for the day to ensure that each talented vendor had the time and attention allotted to ensuring their participation and efforts were not overlooked and that the newlyweds were completely present in the moment and wedded bliss.
