We love a good San Francisco City Hall wedding and this celebration by JASMINE LEE is most certainly one of the prettiest we've seen there. 'Classic, elegant yet simple' is how gorgeous bride Emily wanted her wedding to James feel, so that they could look back in 30 years time and have it feel timeless. Getting married at City Hall was a dream come true for her after coming across a wedding picture several years ago online and being instantly taken by it.
Planned & styled by BLOOMING WED EVENTS it features the most stunning florals by AMANDA VIDMAR DESIGN – they are truly divine! I'm loving the grandiose feeling of the ceremony set up with the staircase behind it.
HOW DID YOU MEET? We met at a young professional meet-up event six years ago, he asked his friend to get my number and invited me to their bbq party.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: It was very stressful in the beginning because we had less than 5 months to plan the wedding. When I was shopping for dresses, every store told us we would have to pay a rush fee to get it in time. I felt very lucky that I found my dream dress after only been to 2 stores. My consultant played a big part of it, after telling her what I like she was able to pick 6 or 7 dresses for me to try. Every single dress she picked out are stunning but when I tried on “my” wedding dress, I knew it was the one.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY ELEMENTS? I did calligraphy of our initials on the card/gift box that’s on the welcome table. I wrote the table numbers that are on each table as well.
FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: I loved every detail at my wedding, but if I have to pick one, it would be the flowers on my head table. I just love the way Amanda arra
nged them with the brass vase.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? My advise would be finding the right planner, it’s not about how famous the planner is or how many followers they have on their social media. I personally prefer a planner who doesn’t plan a lot of weddings every year so they are more dedicated to 1 wedding at a time.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? The most memorable moment is when we were exchanging our vows.
