It’s always a privilege for me to feature the work of past FORAGE & FERN workshop attendees and to see how their work has developed in the time since. New Jersey based wedding photographer NOEL PERRONE attended the Carmel workshop and I’m thrilled to share this romantic elopement inspiration shoot with you today. Styled by Sage Bara of BELLE SOUL WEDDINGS, it was Noel’s gift for storytelling with his imagery that inspired the direction of this editorial. Using the venue of Mission San Jose the story of this secret love affair between Esmeralda and Sebastian began to develop.

Sage tells us, “The elements began to emerge; deep green and mauve, metal and gemstone, petals and paper goods worn and treasured. The story breathed with life and from the stacks of hand written love letters to the planning and gifts presented to her by her amado, the day unfolds at his hand. This sacred elopement among the stone walls of a time gone by provided the perfect images for capturing pure romantic inspiration. Seremos uno los dos. When two become one.
