Romantic Autumn Wedding at Chimney Pond Farm

Set against the stunning backdrop of Chimney Pond Farm in North Carolina, this fall wedding blended timeless elegance with personal, heartfelt details—from a custom crest to sentimental florals—for a celebration both intimate and unforgettable.

Nestled in the mountains of Glenville, North Carolina, Alissa and Spencer’s wedding at CHIMNEY POND FARM was a heartfelt celebration full of thoughtful details, emotional moments, and the kind of beauty that only nature and love can create. Captured by the talented SOULSHINE PHOTOGRAPHY, their day was a seamless blend of classic elegance and bohemian charm, set against the backdrop of crisp fall foliage and expansive mountain views.

The couple’s love story began in Augusta, Georgia, where they met through a mutual friend while Alissa was bartending at Mellow Mushroom. She had just returned to her hometown to begin nursing school, and little did she know, her life was about to change forever. Years later, Spencer proposed in the most romantic way—on the beach at Isle of Palms in Charleston, just before Alissa’s birthday. What she thought was a quick walk to meet friends turned into a surprise beach picnic, complete with roses, champagne, and a ring.

Alissa and Spencer knew they wanted their wedding day to reflect their love for each other and for the people who had supported them along the way.

Getting Ready with Intention

Alissa and Spencer knew they wanted their wedding day to reflect their love for each other and for the people who had supported them along the way. The celebration began with a joyful and emotional morning of getting ready, surrounded by family and friends. “Having all of my people in one room was so surreal,” Alissa shared. Her grandmother, Malissa, who helped raise her, was by her side—a moment she’ll never forget. As a bride who finds joy in giving, Alissa loved spoiling her bridesmaids and family with personalized gifts that morning.

Fashion with Sentimental Flair

She wore classic MANOLO BLAHNIK heels—her “something blue”—paired with a timeless gown from TIFFINIE BLEU BRIDAL BOUTIQUE in Augusta. For the reception, she changed into a short lace dress to dance the night away. Her accessories included her grandmother’s diamond earrings, a meaningful touch that echoed throughout the day.

Meaningful Stationery Details

One of the most heartfelt design elements was their custom stationery from KAT MCCALL PAPERS, a local Augusta artist. The couple worked closely with the team to create a personalized crest adorned with their wedding florals and a single red cardinal—a symbol of loved ones who were there in spirit. A hand-painted watercolor of Chimney Pond Farm was included inside the envelopes, adding another layer of artistry and intention.

An Intimate Ceremony in the Clouds

The ceremony itself was small and intimate, held outdoors beneath a beautiful floral arch designed by THE BLOSSOM JAR, a North Carolina florist. Featuring pampas grass, white anthurium, and lush greenery, the floral design perfectly balanced Alissa’s vision of simplicity and sophistication with a boho edge. The skies cleared just in time for Alissa to walk down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, escorted by her father, Phillip.

Cocktail Hour with Personal Touches

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour featuring live music by Brandon Reeves—a musician dear to the couple who performed on one of their first dates. Signature cocktails included Spencer’s favorite, Crown and Coke, and an espresso martini for Alissa, topped with an edible crest topper for a stylish twist. Guests found their seats via a champagne wall seating chart crafted by HARTSY DESIGNS, complete with crest-accented glass toppers personalized with each guest’s name and table number.

A Joyful, Heartfelt Reception

The reception was a heartfelt, high-energy celebration. Under Brooke’s expert coordination, the couple’s vision came to life with elevated floral arrangements, gold accents, and a formal plated dinner by Food Experience. Emotional speeches from family members brought the room to tears, followed by one of Alissa’s favorite surprises—a choreographed dance with her twin brother and half-brother that Spencer helped coordinate.

For entertainment, the couple opted for DJ LUCAS LONDON, who kept the dance floor full all evening. “He kept the vibes high and the party going all night,” said Alissa.

A Romantic Caribbean Honeymoon

The celebration ended on a high note, and the newlyweds jetted off to Sandals Grenada for a relaxing week of luxury. With an infinity pool overlooking the resort, personalized butler service, and unforgettable memories, it was the perfect way to unwind after such a meaningful celebration.

From the emotional vows and sentimental details to the mountain air and music-filled evening, Alissa and Spencer’s wedding was an authentic, joy-filled reflection of their love—a day that felt just as magical as the beginning of their story.
