Molly & Mickey had a lovely family centric wedding amidst the beautiful gardens of WHISPERING TREE RANCH in Arizona and had RACHEL SOLOMON alongside them for the day to capture all the beauty. Love the little touches of magenta throughout ééò we haven’t really been seeing too much of that lately, and it’s so pretty in a garden setting!

ééòMickey and I met through some of our most cherished mutual friends, 4 years prior to our wedding date. When we got engaged, we decided that we wanted to have a wedding that highlighted not only our love for one another, but our love for our family and friends. Our venue, The Whispering Tree Ranch, was the perfect setting for the day. It was a beautiful garden/rustic chic inspired venue, with charm written all over it. From the chandeliers to the place settings, everything was unique.

Our wedding colors were grey and neutral with a pop of deep magenta. The colors were a perfect fit for the garden theme, and the flowers were so fun and different! My mother made the Jr. Bridesmaid and Flower Girls dress, as well as one of my Bridesmaids. My veil was made by a family friend, and our cake was made by my Brother-in-Law’s Mother. We chose our dear friend Johnny to be our officiant. We also had one of the groomsmen sing and play guitar for our first dance. These choices meant a lot to us, as they added such a personal touch to the day.ééò

ééòOne of our favorite DIY projects was our ééòguest book.ééò We purchased some wood, stained and nailed a heart into it, and weaved yarn in between the nails. Our guests then wrote their best advice to us and placed their notes in the web. We have it hanging in our bedroom now, and will be reading one piece of advice every day.

I also loved choosing my bridesmaid’s gifts. Each gift represented something very meaningful. My sister and Matron of Honor wore an anchor necklace and charm. My bridesmaid from Iowa left her beautiful baby boy for the first time in order to be at our wedding, so she wore a necklace with her baby’s hand printed into the charm. Another bridesmaid wore Oscar Wilde cufflinks, and another; a honey-bee.

I had never planned a wedding before, and after feeling stressed about everything going perfectly, I anchored back to what is most important, sharing the day with the one I love and our family and friends. When I did this, everything else seemed to fall into place. Imperfections then became perfection, and it will be a day we will never forget.ééò
