Situated in the very heart of Englands Lakes District, Blea Tarn is nestled against the backdrop of The Langdale Pikes, a perfect setting for this wild elopement styled shoot by captured JO BRADBURY. Shot over the winter, it makes the most of the muted colours this landscape offers – which is just like a watercolour painting. The very muted palette was picked up in the florals by PICKING POSIES and the table designed by L27 WEDDINGS.
From stylist Louise at L27 WEDDINGS, "When I was asked to do the styling for a Lake District elopement shoot, I knew the phenomenal backdrop would take centre stage. For the ceremony, I wanted to design something to draw attention to the lake and mountains, so the triangle arch was the perfect frame for the gorgeous Toni and Lewis. I enjoy mixing old antiques with new, fresh items to set a modern tone and incorporated this style into the tableware with rosewood cutlery, brass candlesticks with muted tone candles mixed with modern glassware. I curated lots of textures with torn-edge cotton napkins, a blush silk runner and velum name cards with white calligraphy tied with silk ribbon (designed by the lovely Cathy from Willow Beau). Becky from Picking Posies used seasonal British flowers and her arrangement was bursting with beautiful hellebores which were the perfect accompaniment to the soft colours. I love the contrast between the pale, draped table and the rust coloured surrounding landscape, which was hibernating for winter."
