Amongst the olives trees of the rolling hills in Umbria, a region full of history, art and culture in the heart of Italy, PUREWHITE PHOTOGRAPHY set up a romantic bridal editorial with stylist ROMINA REZZA. Inspired by the some unique and vintage local finds they went about creating the scene under the arcade of a medieval convent in the small and cute hillside village of Lugnano.

Romina breaks down the shoot for us, "In regards to the stationery, we collaborated with a talented team called Extraction Project and they made our vision a reality with handmade paper, envelopes, place cards and menus with 100% acid-free Japanese cotton paper offcuts, collected from paper suppliers around the city of Hong Kong. The grey paper was coloured with 100% natural bamboo charcoal. The golden dust around the edges and inside the paper was applied manually one by one to give a unique organic touch. The fabric used to make the table runner and ribbon with which we tied the olive branches was 100% organic cotton, individually hand dyed with different type of teas (Gyokuro for the runner, Thai tea for the ribbon). Talented CECELIA BOSCHI embellished the menu, envelopes and place cards with her calligraphy using an ink made by gouache and a customised colour made with gold pigment. We ceramicist Alice Reina of BIANCODICHINA, create four dishes not conforming to the traditional wedding mood but close to what we were planning. She made us unique pieces inspired by the soft forms of nature, made with porcelain covered with a dark, opaque enamel. The wedding dress was by the amazing ATELIER YOOJ using Italian silk, silk chiffon and 100% French cotton. The inspiration was retrò with a contemporary soul; we chose the dress due to its softness which reminded us the sweet slopes of the Umbrian hills. The hair accessory is a vintage piece made with little pearls and silver; we found it in an incredible shop specialised in vintage clothes and accessories called Armuar in Turin."
