Lifestyle: Autumn Harvest in the Canadian Prairies

Inspired by the deep colours and crisp textures of autumn’s harvest, this shoot by the superbly talented BRITTANY MAHOOD from MAGNOLIA ROUGE LIFESTYLE ISSUE V, incorporates dried fruits, nuts and foliage turned by autumn’s chill. Seasons stand on their own. We simply needed to let fall be fall and enjoy it’s delicacies.

Most of the foliage was harvested or foraged locally by HEATHER PAGE AT ACADEMY FLORISTS including dogwood, oak, poplar, prairie rose hips, hazelnut, sage and mini maple. What the Canadian prairies may lack in florals, it definitely makes up for in foliage. Welcoming and uncomplicated, the baked goods by LAUGH LOVE CAKES were made for quiet nights and slow mornings. A mocha chocolate cake, pumpkin bundt cake and lemon poppyseed loaf filled out our table and picnic, styled with ceramics and simple linens. And luckily for you, we have shared the recipes with you below!

MÛR LIFESTYLE provided so many of the beautiful lifestyle props for this shoot… guys seriously you need to check out their WEBSITE! SO much goodness on there! I want it all!
