Relaxed wedding at a private India-inspired residence

Well hello from the other side – other side of Christmas that is!! It’s always just the biggest build up isn’t it and just like that it’s over, we start to put the decorations away and the gifts get hidden in drawers and the madness subsides. Here in New Zealand it’s a time to sit…

Well hello from the other side – other side of Christmas that is!! It’s always just the biggest build up isn’t it and just like that it’s over, we start to put the decorations away and the gifts get hidden in drawers and the madness subsides. Here in New Zealand it’s a time to sit back and enjoy the summer and we’ve been spoilt already this year with an incredible start to the season – it doesn’t usually kick in until mid-January but it kinda already feels like we’ve had a lot of summer! Great for getting outdoors and enjoying it (although sometimes it’s just too hot!) but not so great for all the gardens and farms which suffer from lack of rain! It’ll be a bit different for us with Rylee this year but hopefully I’ll find some quiet time to simple sit on our porch with a magazine or three and just enjoy some downtme.

What better way to start your wedding day then to be poolside with the one you love! This is exactly how Melanie wanted to spend her wedding day, with the ones she loved and her soon to be Mister! Her Lake Charles, Louisiana wedding captured by EMILY FUSELIER was designed around the beautiful home she was married in front of. The private residence is India-inspired so planner & stylist SARA LASHER pulled out the best elements to complement the gorgeous estate. Lush greens, white and blush florals designed by PARADISE FLORIST, combined with natural stone and wood made the perfect combination to really bring out all of the details.
