The beautiful warm tones in this bohemian inspired shoot by the lovely LUCY MUNOZ are perfect for a late summer or autumn wedding. Stylists THRIFTED SISTER VINTAGE tell us; ééòWhen Marsala was announced as Pantone Color of the Year 2015 we immediately fell in love and began thinking of ways to marry the bohemian style we adore with the rich warm color Marsala for a styled wedding inspiration shoot. We knew we wanted the shoot to feel timeless, romantic and full of love. The couple we chose are a real couple totally head over heels for one another. You can’t help but feel the love through the beautiful images captured by Lucy. Each image so delicately telling a story .
Our bride wore two dresses. The first dress a full length gown and semi off the shoulder. We chose this gown for ceremony and dinner by the creek. Such a gorgeous bohemian babe of a dress by Celia D. , lent to us by Bride Boutique in local Echo Park Ca. We paired the dress with vintage Marsala open toe heels and vintage amber jewellery.
The second dress we chose is a shorter equally babealicious dress by Kite and Butterfly also lent to us by bride boutique. We paired it with vintage Marsala cowboy boots and vintage turquoise and silver earrings. The shorter more casual dress lent it self nicely to a candlelit wine picnic and poems after dinner.ééò
ééòBoth our bride and groom had their hair styled by Marlo Renae of Posh Hair Lounge. We knew we wanted our bride to have a natural wavy boho babe look and being a true master at her craft, she captured our vision perfectly. She effortlessly changed her hair into a braid for the second low back kite and butterfly dress. It was important for us to show hair and makeup a bride can relate too and accomplish for her best day ever. For makeup, the talented Alpha of Sweet Fuss Hair & Makeup artistry created a soft, natural timeless makeup look which had our bride glowing! Hair and makeup really complimented each other nicely and paired beautifully with the two dresses.
For the cake we really wanted to do something unique and different. We chose to hang a vintage macram hanging garden. In place of a plant sat the cake adorned with flowers. For flowers we had to have Indigo and Plum create her magic. We gave her full creative freedom and her design is flawless. She not only created the bouquet, arrangements and crown but surprised us with her doily hoop skills which we also hung from a tree next to the cake.ééò
Florists INDIGO & PLUM stuck to the Bohemian theme and chose flowers that were easy to work with. They designed some stunning lush arrangements that were a little bit organic and wild. Incorporating the Marsala colour they used Coffee Break roses as their base and built from there using Red Charm Peonies, golden Combo Roses and blush-y Cappuccino Roses. ééòWe added in textures like Blue Viburnum Berries thistle, Astrantia and Pieris, and then backed them with greenery like Camelia branches, Ruscus and Huckleberry. Overall, we wanted to stray far away from a monochromatic color palette but still make the colors coordinate.ééò
