Inspired by 19th century manor house building in the middle of St Petersburg, the ladies of ABERTON DESIGN created this editorial full of old world charm. This building belonged to the Russian royal family; however, they were forced to leave it during the revolution. Upon arriving at the forsaken building, photographer TAMARA GIGOLA – one of my favourite gals – was inspired by the architecture and the intricate design of the ceilings.
Tamara says, “It was as though the walls still remembered the aristocratic life of its previous owners and we went about attempting to capture that feeling.“
