The first thing that grabs me when looking at this wedding is how pretty are those blue bridesmaids gowns from JENNY YOO? I must admit we don’t seem to feature a great deal of ‘blue’ weddings (except for this past week when I think we’ve had three!). This beautiful upstate New York wedding of Stephanie & James by ALEXANDRA ELISE PHOTOGRAPHY took place at STRATHALLAN – a hotel and spa in Rochester. The couple wanted a wedding close to wear their family lived and of course it’s a stunning setting which gave them some beautiful grounds for their photos.
ANY DIY ELEMENTS? We both worked on making the chalkboard signage for the wedding. We hand wrapped a succulent for each guest, this doubled as their favour and escort card. We also set up a polaroid picture guest book.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: The flowers were a soft aesthetic. The colours complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses. I incorporated greens and succulents.
FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: We loved the table centerpieces with the gorgeous candles, flowers and succulents. we loved our first dance and Greek dancing with our families and friends. we loved the sweet speeches that were given. It was so fun to have all of our friends and family together.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Enjoy every moment, try and soak it all in. It goes fast!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? The most memorable moment for Stephanie was walking down the aisle and seeing so many smiling faces and jimmy. It was such an emotional and happy moment.
