When we asked Kara & Clark how they decided upon the venue for their wedding the simply said, "location location location". With the most spectacular views on offer – making for the best backdrop to their photos by Calgary wedding photographer MILTON PHOTOGRAPHY – it's not a statement we can argue with.
HOW DID YOU MEET? To be honest, what brought us together was not a typical scenario. It was more of a complex collage of bread crumbs that God had sprinkled throughout our lives from the time we unknowingly went to college at Seattle Pacific University at the same time. From our days at University, till 15 years later, our lives orbited each other closely with near misses and close calls… yet never connecting or meeting officially. Then when we couldn't be further from connecting, God brought us together in a miraculous way that can really only be explained through DIVINE INTERVENTION. On March 5, 2017, we met for the very first time. After one night of conversation, we both independently and simultaneously recognised that we had met God's choice for us. It was only later on in our rapidly growing relationship that we could fully see God's handy work and trail of bread crumbs that he had been laying down throughout our lives since we first were unknowingly at University together.
TELL US ABOUT THE PROPOSAL: On October 23, 2017, just 6 months after meeting, we got engaged in the beautiful and majestic Grand Canyon with both our families by our side.
UNIQUE DETAILS TO SHARE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY: We were supposed to have an outdoor wedding on the terrace…but unforeseen rain/weather forced us inside. It ended being just as beautiful and majestic with large windows to look out to see the view.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Classical, traditional, clean & neutral. The bouquets included dianthus, lisianthus, spray roses (ivory), Ranunculus, stock, playa roses, vendela, limelight hydrangeas, tall delphiniums, and ivory astilbe. Jasmine, Olive branch, Hornsby, Aspen, Boxwood. Our focal piece was an archway built in stone grey pots and covered in lush greenery and white flowers. The centerpieces for the reception alternated from low floral pieces for round tables, mixed with matching oblong pieces on long rectangle tables.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT: Marrying each others best friend in front of all friend and family.
A huge thank you to Calgary wedding photographer MILTON PHOTOGRAPHY for sharing this beautiful wedding with us. Justine is a valued member of the Magnolia Rouge Vendor Guide. Her style is a mix of fine art and photojournalism. "I capture naturally beautiful moments as they happen. I don’t force things, and the results are photographs as unique and beautiful as you are. It is an incredibly humbling job, to be trusted to document couples life long memories, and that is what we focus on most; timeless imagery that will evoke all of the emotions you and your family felt on the day."
