Set on the shores of Lake Como in Tremezzo, Italy, VILLA SOLA CABIATI is an exquisite wedding venue for the lover of romance, art, architecture, and history. The villa was built in the 16th century and later redesigned in the 18th. With walls and ceilings adorned with frescos, rooms decorated in luxury antiques, and windows and balconies looking out at the lake, the setting is a dream at every angle.
Captured by Charleston wedding photographer FAITH ROPER the wedding ceremony was set in the back garden with a bouquet lined aisle to echo the flower bordered stone steps above. The bride’s gown is a cloud-like creation by DEMETRIOS, and the groom wore a classic black tuxedo. With formal portraits against the frescoed walls, the couple quite literally look like they're stepping out of a painting. Paper goods by SHASTA BELL CALLIGRAPHY fit the artful, old world style. For the reception, a long table in the upper salon was set with blush and cream flowers and cream and gold plate ware. Antique chairs at the table faced an amazing view of the lake from the balcony and windows. No Lake Como wedding is complete without a classic wooden boat ride around the lake to enjoy views of the Italian Alps and picturesque villages. The event was all beautifully designed and styled by JANNA BROWN DESIGN, with expert coordination by CENTOROSE E UN TULIPANO.
A big thank you to Charleston wedding photographer FAITH ROPER for sharing this stunning inspiration with us. Faith approaches your wedding day with thoughtfulness, intention, and care. "I always strive to be a calm presence on your day. Of course, I want you to love your wedding photos, but also to have a great experience with me. Looking around at all the friends and family celebrating, I always feel so honoured to be there documenting your wedding. I am inspired by luminous skin tones, painterly backgrounds, and emotive storytelling. I want to create photos that make you feel beautiful and that help you remember how you felt on your wedding day." Head over to her portfolio to see more of her work.
