You probably know by now that we love nothing more than some moody wedding inspiration around here!! This shoot from CHRISTIE GRAHAM’S workshop in British Columbia totally fits the bill. With clouds rolling in low over the forest and the feeling of an impending storm, it gives off a warm cosy feel… the type where you know you’re about to get drenched but will then run to your cabin and warm up in front of an open fire! Ok – so now I’m just dreaming of being in this situation! Beautiful paper goods from TARA SPENCER incorporate copper calligraphy on hand torn black and white paper, and a stunning gown from ANAIS ANETTE with a delicate lace bodice makes a striking contrast in the rugged landscape.
Christy tells us, “My vision for this dark and stormy editorial was to step outside the expected lightness and softness associated with wedding imagery. I wanted to provide inspiration for those seeking a moodier aesthetic with a sense of wildness. The black ANNE SPORTUN ring from KISS AND MAKEUP was a stand out piece for this shoot. I love the idea of having an alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring. The paper goods were a thoughtful combination of dark and earthy, adorned with the most spectacular copper ink. The groom’s exposed tattoos wrapped around the bride’s lower back in her stunning ANAIS ANETTE gown created an intimate, grounded feel. As the storm unexpectedly rolled in during our shoot, Brianna and Geoff moved closer, and closer, and closer allowing us to capture the perfect intimate moments.”
