It was this stunning terracotta J. MENDEL that inspired photographer BONPHOTAGE to create this shoot. First spotted at the Academy Awards on actress Olivia Munn, the delicate texture and colour are a striking contemporary vision.
Working with planner URBAN ALLURE EVENTS, photographer Lynzie tells us, "My goal was to evoke a natural beauty synonymous with the dry summer landscape by styling with an organic palette of tones and textures. By layering a combination of burnt browns, earthly ivories and terracotta, the neutral palette and feminine design features dried bunny tail grasses, wheat, butterfly ranunculus, hellebores, sweet pea, and garden roses. The flowers – by LOCAL BLOOMS – were created to have an ease to them as if they were just freshly picked from a garden, creating a light and airy set for the styled shoot. The cake by ECBG CAKE STUDIO was minimal with fine gold detail and decorated with florals.
The second look was a stunning MARCHESA gown with all the beautiful lace detail that dreams are made of. The florals were styled around the bride in an organic nature to match the theme of the shoot.
The invitation by ELSA MADELINE DESIGN was hand painted and foil printed in a deep coppery gold. The edges were painted in gold as well. The design was kept simple so as to let the rich surface of the card sing! The envelope liner was made from rice paper and it was letterpress printed using two shades of brown to evoke the sense of layered grasses. The rsvp card was dipped in chai tea and the menu was tea stained as well and letterpress-printed using two shades of ink. The name tag was hand painted and painted in coppery-gold."
