We turning up the volume today which some high voltage colour from IVY AND GOLD with styling by Sam Lewis from LEWIS & LEVY. Inspired by all things colourful and playful, this creative team from Portland, Oregon were aiming to mimic the free-spirited feel of the 1970s, but in contrast to a more modern, minimal white backdrop in an urban setting. STEMM created the most amazing display of florals including a fun wall arch which would be amazing for an indoor wedding ceremony.
Kelsee from IVY AND GOLD explains, “CLAIRE LAFAYE’S gorgeous gown was absolutely perfect for this bohemian bride, and the incredible wildflower inspired arrangements and arch by Stemm really stole the show! One of my favorite things about this shoot is that it’s proof that you can have a bright, colorful wedding that’s still refined and sophisticated. As much as I adore the neutral color pallets that are very “in” right now, some brides just crave a colorful day! The way that we kept the balance in this scene was to keep most details neutral and very simple, and then to let the desired feel of the day shine through the florals chosen. This way, you still get the fun, joyful vibes of a bright, colorful wedding, but don’t have to worry about being cheesy or overwhelming. Sam Lewis from LEWIS & LEVY pulled all the details together perfectly, and created a beautiful tablescape that I’d love to dine at every day!“
