You simply can't go wrong with views of the Italian countryside to celebrate your future together. Lily and Steven invited their closest family and best friends to enjoy their wedding at CONTI DI SAN BONIFACIO – a spectacular venue nestled deep in Tuscany wine country. This bi-coastal couple (he is in San Francisco and she is in Boston) decided to do away with the norm of a local wedding and instead flew to the other side of the world to tie the knot. Beautifully captured by ALEX W PHOTOGRAPHY it an amazing backdrop for a weekend full of fun for the couple and their guests.
Alex shares more about their day with us, "In combination with a truly Italian feel on the wedding day, Lily and Steven held a traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony. They were surrounded by their closest friends and even family who flew out of China. Afterward, Lily returned to her room to change into her wedding dress and have her first look with Steven. Whilst the guys were getting ready they cheered Steven over some Hibiki whiskey on his future with Lily. After getting a little liquid courage in them we headed over to the pool to get in a quick dunk before everyone was suited up for the day’s events.
Serena Tosi of INFINITO AMORE provided the exceptional floral design for the day. Rather than the bridesmaids have bouquets for the day, Lily chose for all of her ladies to be adorned with delicate flower crowns. The floral arch was the real focus of detail for the ceremony. It was adorned with blush roses, white orchids, eucalyptus, and golden pampas grass. After the ceremony, guests cheered and tossed loose olive leaves on the couple as they made their recession back down the aisle. Everyone made their way to the back of the property where they enjoyed cocktail hour, complete with local Italian meats and cheese, fresh Caprese salad, and delicious homemade sliders.
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Lily and Steven made their way across the property, taking romantic portraits and savouring their first sunset together as husband and wife. Everyone soon took their seats on the lawn to enjoy an al fresco dinner. The ceremony site was converted into the dining area where long garlands of greenery and roses adorned the tables. Lily and Steven entered the reception to lots of cheering and smiles from friends and family. Everyone enjoyed an authentic Italian dinner accompanied by local wine from Conti Di San Bonifacio.
Everyone danced late into the night and celebrated the newly married couple. Their social day was truly one for the books. I can’t wait to return to Italy and revisit CONTI DI SAN BONIFACIO!"
