It all began with a dress. This shoot was solely inspired by the stunning Carrara gown from EMILY RIGGS , with its delicate cloud-like French tulle and exquisite lace detailing. For Charmain of EMBLEM FLOWERS who envisioned and created the shoot, the gown struck a great balance between its fine lace details and its dramatic tulle skirt. The result was timeless and sophisticated French elegance that incorporated whites and creams along with hints of blue, combined with the raw beauty and wheat tones of a summer meadow.  also took her cue from the gown telling us, "I had the idea of building a ground installation using seasonal materials and the late summer grasses and lilac felt appropriate".

To highlight the emerging trend of micro weddings, the team wanted to create an intimate sweetheart table nestled amidst the meadow, which was all beautifully captured by JENNIFER FUJIKAWA inside of the historic building on Green Street that once housed the Cheesewright Studios, now home of MADELINE GARDEN. Michelle of Southern California wedding planner SOMNI EVENTS incorporated a natural blue linen with touches of whitewashed elements to complement the raw textural florals. The tableware featured light terracotta chargers with botanical vintage china to encapsulate the subtlety and harmony of a timeless elegance. Delicate airy flowers such as creme brulee phlox, agrostemma, and wild queen anne's lace were included to create flow and movement; and mixed these more subtle details against the volume of a luxurious maximalist sweetheart table overflowing in late summer blooms.

The watercolour paper goods by JACKIE CHEN DESIGN and classic vanilla sponge cake from MR. & MSR. CREAMERY were the perfect details to tie the whole look together. For the model, KELLY ZHANG STUDIO kept the look clean and modern with all hair gelled back and a focus on her glowing complexion which allowed the gown to really shine.
