Few love stories begin as early as this one. Cara and Michael first met in high school, spending countless afternoons talking on outdoor benches that would one day make a meaningful appearance at their wedding. Their celebration at THE VENUE AT BIRCHWOOD in Spring Hill, Tennessee, captured beautifully by KÉRA PHOTOGRAPHY, was an elegant reflection of their shared history and enduring faith. With planning and design by EBJ & COMPANY and florals by IMOGEN FLORAL DESIGN, every element was intentionally crafted to tell their love story in the most graceful way.
A Love Rooted in History and Faith
Cara and Michael’s journey together spans from high school sweethearts to soulmates, united by a deep foundation of friendship and faith. Their proposal mirrored this intentionality—Michael planned a day filled with meaningful stops, handwritten letters, prayer, and reflection before proposing at Ravenswood Mansion, where their loved ones later gathered for a surprise celebration.

A heartfelt time of prayer and a surprise book filled with letters from her loved ones set the tone for the day ahead.
An Elegant Southern Setting
The couple chose The Venue at Birchwood for its beautiful chapel, an architectural gem bathed in natural light. With soft neutral tones, soaring ceilings, and refined Southern charm, it was the perfect canvas for their classic romantic style. Beyond the chapel, manicured gardens and a welcoming reception hall offered an idyllic space for guests to gather and celebrate.
Peaceful Moments of Preparation
Cara’s morning began in a calm and joy-filled bridal suite surrounded by her bridesmaids and family. A heartfelt time of prayer and a surprise book filled with letters from her loved ones set the tone for the day ahead. Her first look with Michael took place in the chapel—a tender moment that eased their nerves and centered their hearts before the ceremony began.

Every element was intentionally crafted to tell their love story in the most graceful way.

Timeless Style and Romantic Florals
Cara wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown featuring a structured bodice, a sweeping A-line skirt, and a statement bow—an elegant nod to modern femininity. Her bridesmaids complemented her look in one-shoulder satin dresses by DESSY GROUP, each adorned with a bow that echoed the bride’s timeless silhouette.
The florals by IMOGEN FLORAL DESIGN were soft, romantic, and intentional. Blush and ivory tones, accented by fresh greenery, filled the space with natural beauty. Asymmetrical floral pillars framed the chapel’s wooden cross, while low arrangements created a garden-like aisle. The reception mirrored this aesthetic with lush centerpieces, flickering candlelight, and flower meadows surrounding the cake lovingly made by Cara’s grandmother.
Personal Touches and Elegant Details
Every detail reflected the couple’s thoughtful approach—from handwritten thank-you notes at the seating display to gold-foil stationery designed by WHITE INK CALLIGRAPHY. The design carried through seamlessly, with coordinating napkins, custom cups, and personalized game cards that invited guests to relax and enjoy the evening.

The ceremony was the heart of the day—an intentional reflection of Cara and Michael’s devotion to each other and their faith.

A Joyful Southern Celebration
The reception was a blend of warmth and fun, with guests savoring delicious offerings from Flour and Forge Food Truck and Little Cancun on the Go, along with beverages served from the charming Steel Pony truck. Sweet treats from The Cupcake Collection and Sweet Haven, paired with Cara’s grandmother’s tiered cake, added a heartfelt touch. Laughter filled the air as guests played lawn games, mini putt-putt, and ping pong, before gathering for a glowing sparkler exit that perfectly capped off the night.
Faith and Forever
The ceremony was the heart of the day—an intentional reflection of Cara and Michael’s devotion to each other and their faith. Officiated by Cara’s grandfather, the service included scripture, prayer, and communion, grounding the celebration in love that lasts beyond a single day.
Their honeymoon in St. Lucia’s Sugar Beach was the perfect ending—a sun-drenched escape filled with rest, adventure, and gratitude for the beautiful start to their marriage.

Captured with artistry and emotion by KÉRA PHOTOGRAPHY, Cara and Michael’s wedding was a celebration of legacy, faith, and enduring love.
