When farmers market meets English countryside – this was the inspiration behind Liz and Jon’s MARKET AT GRELEN spectacular summer soiree. No detail was left unturned starting with the bride’s impeccable taste and style wearing a stunning pleated ANTHROPOLOGIE gown and playful gingham “something blue” LOEFFLER RANDAL platforms, to embracing the rolling hills of Virginia and featuring actual peaches from the orchard, and remembering the groom’s late father with a ceremony tribute memento by STEPH G CALLIGRAPHY – all captured beautifully by Richmond wedding photographer NIKKI SANTERRE.

The vision for their day was to feel like an extension of their home and as guests arrived chiming, “this is so Liz and Jon” wedding planners CAITIE HANRAHAN EVENTS knew they had nailed this execution for her lovely clients.

With a love of pattern play and texture, CAITIE HANRAHAN EVENTS procured a team of thoughtful vendors to execute an inviting design that leaned into the aesthetic of the venue as inspiration. "We pulled playful rattan chargers and eyelet napkins from SOMETHING VINTAGE, Fulton Fern linens from STRADLEY DAVIDSON, a pop of warm amber glasses with Select, and continued to support international small businesses by using handmade linens ordered from a designer in India. For floral design with STEEL CUT FLOWER CO, we tapped into the feeling of 'just arriving home from the farmers market' with organic fruits and vegetables gracing the tables in stylised vignettes and a showstopper farmers market inspired escort display. We really love an interactive escort display and this one will forever be a favourite. The custom watercolour paper design was a cohesive fit for the day from start to finish – the stunning watercolour invitation suite showed a sneak of the peachy perfection to come and the tabletop items, including hanging fruit on wine glasses, was a dream created by STEPH G CALLIGRAPHY."

Guests danced the night away under the stars with My Deejay while Liz and Jon cut their retro CAKE & BLOOM cake and passed the bride’s favourite, Dominos + Ranch dressing on the dancefloor.
